The Annual Clergy Conference (Spouses Invited) will be held April 16 – 18 at Christ the King Spiritual Life Center, starting on Monday at 5 pm and ending on Wednesday at 1 pm. All Albany clergy: priests and deac ons, active and retired, canonically resident and licensed, together with their spouses, are invited to attend.

Our speakers will be the Rev. Jacob Smith, Rector of the Parish of Calvary-St. George’s in Manhattan, and his wife, Melina.

The overall title of their four talks to us is: “Until Death Do Us Part: Grace for Clergy, their Spouses, and the People they Serve.”

The four talks are entitled:

I. Married and in the Ministry: A Family Relying on Grace (Jacob and Melina)

II. Sharing the Gospel with our Littlest Ones: Sharing the Gospel with our Children at Home and in the Church (Melina)

III. Good News vs. Good Advice: Recovering the Gospel in Our Churches (Jacob)

IV. Hope for the Pastor: Recovering the Gospel in our Daily Lives (Jacob)

In addition to these opportunities for learning, the Clergy Conference will be a time for re-connecting with old friends and for making new friends. Worship will also be an important part of our gathering as we sing morning and evening prayer and celebrate the Eucharist together.
